Chicago Bears vs. New England Patriots live updates, NFL Week 7 2022 at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass.

The New England Patriots (3-3) host the Chicago Bears (2-4) in a Monday Night Football showdown at Gillette Stadium.

Patriots backup quarterback Bailey Zappe managed to lead his side to a couple of victories in the absence of Mac Jones, who is expected to play Monday night.

It’s possible that Jones, 24, and Zappe, 23, both take the field against Chicago, sharing snaps to gauge who should be the starting QB moving forward.

New England head coach Bill Belichick is known for not playing favorites and always playing the best available quarterback.

Belichick, 70, will become the No. 2 winningest coach in NFL history if Patriots beat the Bears.

As for Chicago, quarterback Justin Fields is visibly upset at how the season is unfolding nearly midway through the calendar.

Bears are coming off a crushing loss to the Washington Commanders and are on a three-game skid heading into the matchup against New England.

Patriots are favorites to beat the Bears, who have a spread average of 7.5 points, with the odds showing that Belichick’s side will likely win by at least a touchdown.

Running back Rhamondre Stevenson will be the focal point of New England’s offense regardless of who takes the field at the QB position.

Stevenson, 24, has already racked up 448 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 87 carries through six games.

He will be facing a Bears defense that’s allowing 163 rushing yards per game, so even if Damien Harris plays after missing last game, Stevenson should get the lion’s share of the snaps.

Kickoff at Gillete Stadium is scheduled for 20:15 ET.
