Felix Auger-Aliassime has been on fire during the indoor hard-court season this year, winning back-to-back ATP 250s in Florence and Antwerp the last two weeks, and today—after defeating Carlos Alcaraz, 6-3, 6-2, his second straight win over the world No. 1—moving through to his third final in as many weeks at the ATP 500 in Basel.
One of the foundations of his winning streak has most definitely been his serve: Auger-Aliassime has held his last 75 service games in a row.
The last time Auger-Aliassime was broken was in the third game of his quarterfinal match against Dan Evans in Antwerp last week, which gave Evans a 2-1 lead—the Brit then rode that break until he had the first set in his pocket.
But Evans never broke Auger-Aliassime again in the match, the Canadian holding all 13 times the rest of the way en route to a 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory.
And he hasn’t been broken since, either.
