Novak Djokovic served up a storm in his opening match at the Masters 1000 event in Paris on Tuesday, never dropping serve—never even going to deuce, in fact—en route to a 7-6 (1), 6-4 victory over American Maxime Cressy.

Of his 11 service games, he held six of them to love and four of them to 15, his only remotely close service game coming at 5-all in the first set, when he held at 30.

Djokovic has actually held his last 28 service games in a row without facing break point, a streak that started against Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals of Astana a few weeks ago (he held his last seven service games of that match without facing one, then all 10 against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final, and now 11 against Cressy).

He’s now on a 10-match winning streak at the Masters 1000 event in Paris, having won the tournament the last two times he played it in 2019 (going 5-0) and 2021 (going 4-0, having received a walkover from Gael Monfils in the third round).

The 21-time Grand Slam champion is now on a 24-match winning streak against players from the U.S., too, since falling to Sam Querrey at Wimbledon in 2016.
