The Serbian coach told Tennis Legendes that they have had a good off-season training session in Marbella, Spain.
“I explained to Corentin that he had to be 100 percent, of course he said yes,” said Popovic. “I don’t tolerate a player not being fully involved.”
Moutet’s goal for next season is to get his ranking up again, allowing him to be seeded at Grand Slams. Though he would have liked to avoid the controversies, he says it’s part of improving on court.
“As in my entire career, I always learn from them, they make me a better tennis player and a better person,” he said. “It has been one of the most difficult seasons.
“Injuries, big doubts about the right way of working, which is a good challenge. Finally, I have my best ranking in one of the most complicated seasons I’ve had.”
Moutet had a season low of No. 139 in the rankings.
