The Dallas Cowboys have a tough mission this weekend when they visit the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are on fire with QB Trevor Lawrence playing his best football of the season. In the last four games, Lawrence has thrown 10 TDs and 0 INTs, so the Dallas defense has a tough task on Sunday.
The problem for Dallas is that their QB, Dak Prescott, is throwing a lot of interceptions in recent games, so the Jaguars defense could take advantage of that.
Jones doesn’t want another game like against Texans
In their most recent game, the Cowboys hosted the NFL’s worst team, the Houston Texans, whom they barely managed to beat in the final minute, 27-23, in a game that got too complicated for them. And a big part of that was the performance of Prescott, who threw 2 INTs against one of the worst defenses in the league.
So on his recent radio show, when Jones was asked if he’s concerned about what he’s seen from his QB, he replied, “What if I said yes, okay? Period.”
Jones commented that he likes the team’s aggressiveness, but that “the definition of aggressiveness doesn’t have to include turnovers. I like aggressiveness without turnovers,” Jones said.
Lawrence is playing better than Prescott
In the last 5 games, Prescott has 11 TDs but 7 INTs, while Jacksonville’s young QB has thrown, in his last 5 games, 10 TD passes and zero interceptions, which has the Jaguars still competing for their division title, and Dallas struggling to win in recent weeks against weaker opponents like the Colts and Texans.
