The Jacksonville Jaguars (6-8) visit the New York Jets (7-7) for Thursday Night Football at MetLife Stadium in a game with postseason significance for both teams.

Jacksonville has won 3 of the last 4 games, and come from a shocking victory against the Dallas Cowboys in OT (34-40). In their last meeting, Jets won 26-21.

New York has lost three in a row and are in a descending mood, trying to keep up with the Pats and Dolphins for a place in the Playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets live updates, Thursday Night Football Week 16 2022 at Metlife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ

This week marks the two-year anniversary of the New York Jets having the option to pick Trevor Lawrence if they finished with the worst record in the NFL, but that “luck” went to tonight’s rivals, the Jaguars.

The story goes that Jacksonville chose Lawrence, and the Jets kept Zach Wilson. The two will meet tonight in a game with playoff implications for both teams.

For Jacksonville, Lawrence has had a second season and is currently the NFL’s top QB over the last six weeks, completing 70.4% of his passes for 1,680 yards, 14 TDs and only 1 INT.

Jets, meanwhile, have had a carousel at the QB position, with Zach Wilson in a bad season in which he even went to the bench, and today he will be the starter because his backup, Mike White, is injured. Wilson has 1,596 yards (31st in the league), 6 TDs and 6 INTs, so he will have to have a good game if he wants his team to have Playoff aspirations.

Kickoff for the game at MetLife Stadium is scheduled for 20:15 ET.
