He has shared the stage with Latin music luminaries and performed at festivals around the world. Adonis’ music has playful, sexy lyrics with percussive cross-rhythms and lightening-like horn lines that drive the music forward. Even if you can’t speak a word of Spanish, you can hear his joy, his love of life, his passion! In Adonis’ own words, “I have traveled the world singing. My mission in life is to share my music, giving people joy.” Adonis was also well-known as half of the critically-acclaimed Puentes Brothers, an early project with his fraternal twin Alexis, better known as Alex Cuba. They were born in Artemisa, Cuba and started playing with their father, a well-respected musician and teacher, at an early age. Adonis’ latest release is steeped in Cuban music history and culture.
