We are very close to finding out which teams will play in the last 16 of this season’s edition of the Champions League. This Tuesday and Wednesday the names of the final teams to qualify for the next round are being discovered, because the last set of group stage matches are being played.
Real Madrid are the only Spanish team to have qualified for the last 16, as Sevilla, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid were mathematically eliminated last week. Although there are teams still in contention to go through, several teams have already qualified with a game to play.
Teams qualified for the Champions League last 16
There are currently 14 teams already qualified for the 16, and they are:
Spain: Real Madrid.
England: Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.
Italy: Napoli and Inter.
Germany: Bayern Munich, Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund.
France: PSG.
Belgium: Club Brugge.
Portugal: Porto and Benfica.
In Group F, it remains to be seen which team from Shakhtar Donetsk and RB Leipzig will qualify, and which team from Group E, in which AC Milan and RB Salzburg have a chance, will join Chelsea.

It still remains to be seen whether Real Madrid, PSG or Benfica are first or second in the group, in addition to the two places still to be filled.
In Real Madrid‘s group, Shakhtar or Leipzig will be playing for a place in the last 16, while in Chelsea‘s group, Milan and Salzburg will be fighting for a ticket to the next round.
When is the Champions League round of 16 draw?
The draw for the Champions League Round of 16 will take place on Monday, November 7 at 12.00 noon CET at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. That means the draw is at 07:00 ET / 04:00 PT in the United States.
In addition, it should be noted that the two Round of 16 matches resulting from the draw will be played on 14/15/21/22 February for the first leg, with the second leg being played on 7/8/14/15 March 2023.
