Sachs is Raducanu’s third coach this season, and her fifth in 18 months. Raducanu has changed coaches frequently since turning pro in 2021—she also split with Nigel Sears following her fourth-round run at Wimbledon, declined to extend Andrew Richardson’s appointment following her title victory at that year’s US Open.

A season of frequent physical problems saw her rarely get back-to-back wins during events. She returned from a wrist injury layoff this week to play Ons Jabeur in Mubadala World Tennis Championships, an exhibition event in Abu Dhabi.

Raducanu, who recently received an MBE from the British crown, is ranked No. 76 and is scheduled to begin her 2023 season in Auckland.
