Everything is set for Jake Paul’s eight-round boxing match against former UFC champion Anderson Silva at Desert Diamond Arena in Phoenix, Arizona.
This will be the Youtuber turned boxer’s first fight in 2022 after he defeated Tyron Woodley in December 2021, on the other side Silva hasn’t had a boxing match since he won his bout against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a result that shocked the boxing world but gave testimony to the Brazilian’s phomenal set of punching skills despite his age.
Both fighters had no problems with the weigh in, Jake Paul paused the scale on 186.5 lbs, while Anderson Silva stopped it at 186.1 lbs.
The pair made a bet for this fight that appears that the fans will enjoy either way, if Silva wins he’ll have a rematch against Paul in a kickboxing match, but if Paul wins, the former UFC champion will help the rising star create a fighter association that will look for better pay and health coverage for MMA and boxing fighters.
