Jake Paul has gotten trolled from all over the place after defeating Anderson Silva last Saturday, they fought 8 rounds and he dropped the ‘Spider’ in the final round. Many balieve Paul is just choosing easy opponents while some even say that the fight was fixed. In fact, there is a general belief that Jake Paul has fixed all his fights so far in order to get to his 6-0 record. But there are some who actually give Jake Paul the props he’s always asked for. One of those people is none other than Joe Rogan.

Before you get all self-righteous about Joe, he is not a UFC commentator for nothing. Rogan has been involved in combat sports for his entire professional career, he was even about to turn pro when he was in his early ’20s but he took a very different path. That doesn’t mean he is not an expert in pretty much all combat sports. Joe knows boxing history better than almost anybody and MMA is one of his biggest passions along with Brazilian jiu jitsu. When asked about any of these topics, Joe knows what he is talking about.

Joe Rogan’s mad props for Jake Paul

During a recent ‘Joe Rogan Experience‘ podcast, this is what he said: “Some people are trying to say that fight was fixed because of the knockdown. I just want to explain to people this is what happened … Anderson moved forward to Jake Paul and Jake Paul hit him with a sort of a stepping jab and caught him right on the chin. And when he caught him on the chin, Anderson Silva was falling backwards and then he leans away from the right hand and he goes down. He was down from the punch, but it looks like the right hand doesn’t connect, but the left hand is what f***** him up. That dude hits f****** hard and for anybody to say he doesn’t hit hard because he’s a YouTube Star.

“If this guy was not a f****** YouTube star and he was some dude who went out there and flatlined Tyron Woodley with one punch and just knocked down Anderson Silva in the f****** eighth round … Come on, son. That is legit as f***. Anybody that says that’s not legitimate is crazy. He cracked him. Dude, he can fight. Is he the best in the world? No. But is he getting better with every fight? Yes. Is he a 25-year-old guy who’s a legit athlete? Yes. If this is what he wants to do, this guy is making a f****** insane amount of money and he f****** loves it. He’s beating people that everybody says he shouldn’t be the f****** ring with.”

If Jake Paul was searching for validation from one of the biggest experts in the world of combat sports, he just got it from Joe Rogan. Plus, the ‘Problem Child‘ needs to get on Joe’s show and talk about his journey so far. People often think he started as a youtuber but the truth is that he and his brother have been training combat sports for their entire lives. It’s no coincidence his brother Logan Paul is already a WWE superstar.
