The next generation of future NBA stars just had a great showcase on Monday at the Geico High School Showcase between Sierra Canyon and Christ the King. This marked 20 years since LeBron James himself made his national television debut, it had to be Bronny the one who made the honors and make his dad proud of him. In front of his skills, Carmelo Anthony’s son, Kiyan played as his opponent. He is a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard with a lot of untapped potential. But Bronny was the one who took all the standing ovations throughout the game.
Bronny led the game with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals for Sierra Canyon’s 62-51 victory over Christ the King. Kiyan Anthony finished the game with 8 points. Both of them were generous-enough to show everybody in attendance what we might see in the future when they reach the NBA. Both LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony were on the sideline looking at their juniors taking over the show. Bronny was quite the spectacle with two-nhanded dunks and by completing defensive plays. He is clearly levels above the rest of his teammates.
Can Carmelo Anthony make it to the NBA?
With a more fluid game and a precise jump shot, Kiyan Anthony is definitely his father’s son when playing ball. Sharp shooting is in his blood and he does seem like he wannts to have a future in the NBA. Both proud dads took a picture to immortaalize the moment right after a game that had junior guard Isaiah Elohim scoring 17 points as the lead player of this game. But the star of the evening is Bronny, hands down. He is the next big prospect who could very well choose to skip college and jump straight to the NBA but his father won’t let him.
His next step will be to study at the same time he plays for an NCAA scholarship in an institution of his choosing. Bronny could also choose the G-League but his parents do want him to study. In terms of success, Bronny is already making six figures in sponsorship deals with brands as big as Nike and Beats by Dre. In that game, there were also some big celebrities in attendance such as Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Natalia Bryant, and Scottie Pippen supporting son Justin Pippen.
