The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a trade with the Chicago Bears for defensive end Robert Quinn, according to multiple US media sources. The Bears receive a fourth-round pick in the NFL Draft for the player.
The Eagles strengthen a team that is undefeated this season, with six wins in six games. The Bears, on the other hand, make it clear that they are in the process of rebuilding.
Quinn comes to the Eagles under contract through the 2024 season. Under the deal, the Bears will still pay most of the player’s salary this year, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. The figure is around $12.8 million this season.
The 32-year-old veteran pass-rusher has previous stints with the Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and was with the Bears since 2020. This season, Quinn has one sack, eight total tackles and two tackles for loss of yardage in seven games. Still quiet this year, he comes off an 18.5 sack campaign in 2021.
