The Dallas Cowboys will be without running back Tony Pollard against the Tennessee Titans tonight, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.
Pollard was unable to practice all week due to a thigh injury. He’s been electric for Dallas this season, rushing 186 times for 988 yards and nine TDs, plus another 317 yards and three scores on 39 catches.
Ezekiel Elliott and Malik Davis figure to carry the load in Pollard’s absence.
The Titans have made a big lineup move of their own and have decided to start Joshua Dobbs at quarterback, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Pelissero reported.
The decision to start Dobbs over rookie Malik Willis comes with eight Titans already declared out and Derrick Henry (hip) also not expected to play in a game that won’t affect Tennessee’s playoff chances.
It will mark Dobbs’ first career start. He has thrown 17 passes since entering the league in 2017, completing 10 for 45 yards and one interception.
Around the NFL will have more shortly.
