Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young praised his San Francisco 49ers counterpart, Nick Bosa, during their Christmas Eve matchup.
NFL Films shared a clip of its newest “Inside the NFL” episode and Young can be heard telling his teammates on the sideline why Bosa will break the San Francisco franchise record for sacks this year.
“He [Nick Bosa] keeps his hands working always,” Young said. “He different than us, bro. He gonna have 20 [sacks] this year. Because he’s got short legs.
“It’s just easier for him to move around the edge because he’s got a low center of gravity.”
Young, 23, made his 2022 NFL season debut Saturday against the Niners following a 13-month absence due to a gruesome knee injury, including a torn right ACL.
Nick Bosa close to NFL record for sacks
The Ohio State teammates showed nothing but respect for each other on Christmas Eve.
They talked before and after the game, and Young was obviously in awe of his good friend.
Bosa, 25, has two more games to break the league’s single-season sack record of 22.5 set by Michael Straham and TJ Watt.
Currently at 17.5 sacks this year, Bosa needs two and a half more from setting a new 49ers record, surpassing Aldon Smith.
